Comharchumann Bhearna Teo A.G.M. will be held at 8.00pm on Thursday 21st May ’09 in Beanna Beola function room in the ‘12’ Hotel Barna. All members requested to attend. A motion in relation to raising of loan finance in respect of proposed development of existing tennis court site as Multi-Use Games Area at Truskey West can be inspected at Barna Post Office and Comharchumann Bhearna Teo website ( Any other motions for consideration at the A.G.M. to be forwarded by post to the Secretary Comharchumann Bhearna Teo C/O O’Donnellan & Co. Architects, Eglinton House, Eglinton Street, to be received not later than 14 days prior to date of A.G.M. Any nominations for new committee members to be forwarded to the secretary at the same address as stated above, to be received no later than 5 days before date of A.G.M.

Motions – A.G.M.

(1)The re-development of the Tennis Courts site at Truskey West to Multi-Use Games Area will proceed in accordance with planning permission Ref. No. 08/3276 granted by Galway County Council and further subject to all or any conditions in relation to said permission imposed by an An Bord Pleanala under Ref. No. PL07.232606 provided that the then Committee are in a position to comply with and agree to all said conditions imposed by the Bord.

(2)Subject to the above planning permission being granted, that the then Committee of Comharchumann Bhearna Teo are empowered to negotiate loan facilities as to such terms and conditions as the Committee shall see fit, but not to exceed the sum of €300,000 and no loan monies shall be drawn down until such time as the Committee are guaranteed the grant aid for the development from Galway County Council in the sum of €200,000. The said grant aid monies when paid are to be used in it’s entirety to reduce the loan amount.

(3)Following the grant of planning permission, the then Committee are empowered to instruct such Architect or Engineer as the Committee shall approve for the purposes of preparing tender documents for the development of the Tennis Courts and to seek tenders for works from list of contractors approved by appointed Architect/Engineer. The Committee are further empowered to accept such tender upon such terms and conditions including price as the Committee shall in their absolute discretion decide and to enter contract with approved contractor to carry out works subject to agreed tender, terms and conditions.
